Jain Irrigation on Wednesday said it is acquiring ETwater, an innovator of intelligent irrigation technology and in the vanguard of creation of the smart irrigation controller. ETwater is dedicated to helping solve the real-world problem of water scarcity, which makes it a perfect acquisition for Jain.
Although the acquisition is small, it will help fortify the company’s position in the US smart agriculture market with Internet of Things and also help scale up its operations, Jain Irrigation said.
