Shares of logistics companies will remain in focus, as e-way bills come into force from April 1. Going forward, e-way bills would be mandatory for consignments worth ₹50,000 and above.
The e-way bill has to be generated before the goods are transported and the transporter can choose to carry it with him even though physical proof is not needed. Industry players worry that e-way bills will make logistics a more cumbersome and costly process.
