Catholic Syrian Bank Board has appointed Anand Krishnamurthy as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, pursuant to the RBI approval.
Prior to this, Krishnamurthy worked with HSBC for 22 years.
He looked after the corporate banking, SME business and the integrated treasury operations of the Bank as its Head of Wholesale Banking and Treasury, the old private sector bank said in a statement.
S. Santhanakrishnan is currently the part-time Chairman of the Bank.
The Catholic Syrian Bank is an over 94 year-old bank with a strong base in Kerala along with significant presence in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra.
