IDFC, soon-to-be-turned bank, announced the appointment of Ajay Mahajan as its Head Commercial and Wholesale Banking in the bank structure to be launched later this year.
Mahajan will oversee coverage of SMEs (small and medium enterprises), mid-cap and large corporates, financial institutions, government business and transaction banking, treasury and markets and investment banking, IDFC said in a statement.
With over 23 years of experience in the banking industry, starting with 14 years in the Bank of America, Mahajan has previously worked with YES Bank and UBS. Mahajan has been heading the Financial Markets Group at IDFC.
