RuPay JCB cards to offer cashback for in-store purchases in 8 Asian countries

National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) backed RuPay, in partnership with JCB International, on Tuesday announced a limited-time 25 per cent cashback offer for its debit and credit cardholders in eight Asian countries. The move is aimed at expanding RuPay cards usage in foreign countries.

With the offer, users of RuPay JCB co-branded cards will receive 25 per cent cashback for point of saletransactions at stores in Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, and Hong Kong till August 31, 2025.

Cashback eligibility

A cardholder needs to perform a minimum of two transactions in these countries to become eligible for the cashback. The maximum eligible cashback per transaction is ₹1,500, with a total cap of ₹15,000 per card during the offer period.
