Vijaya Bank, the Bangalore-headquartered public sector bank celebrated its 84th foundation day on Friday. Many cultural and CSR activities were organised by the bank across the country.
M D Mallya, former IBA chairman delivered the Mulki Sunder Ram Shetty memorial lecture on “Strategic Dimensions of Emerging Banking in India” at an event in Bangalore. The bank honoured prominent personalities including P.K.Dhoot, founder director of Videocon Group and Ramadas M.Pai, President and Chancellor of Manipal University.
As part of CSR activity, the Bank donated an ambulance and unveiled plans to build 84 toilets for girls at various government schools across villages in the country.
