A host of 1,500 start-ups, entrepreneurs, artists, writers, film enthusiasts and other creative persons are going to a rendezvous for two days on August 30 and 31.

Industry associations like The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), Hyderabad Software Exporters Association (Hysea), Nasscom, Indian School of Business and International Institute of Information Technology (H) have joined hands to organise The August Fest 2014 of start-ups and other creative persons.

TiE (Hyderabad) Murali Bukkapatnam, President said that the festival would be a good platform for early-stage start-ups to get exposure to innovative ideas from a variety of fields.

Promoted by the not-for-profit ESD (Eat Sleep Drink) Startups, the second edition of the festival would also have representation from angel networks, Murali said.

There would be a competition for shortfilm makers on the theme -- Hyderabad Innovation, a press release from the organisers said.
