NMPT gets eco management award

The Greentech Foundation has presented the 14th annual ‘Greentech Environment 2013’ award to New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) for its environment management. A press statement by NMPT said here that NMPT is receiving this award for the second consecutive year. TSN Murthy, Chairman in-charge of NMPT, and MR Hedaoo, Chief Engineer (Civil) of NMPT, received the award from RC Nayyar, Principal Secretary, Haryana Government, and Kamalesh Kumar Sharan, founder of Greentech Foundation, in Chandigarh last week. The release said that NMPT has taken up various environment management measures such as tree plantation and water conservation throughout the port estate in the last three years.
