After 76 rounds, FM radio bids hit ₹1,128 crore

Cumulative provisional winning bids closed at ₹1,128 crore on Thursday in the e-auction of the private FM radio phase-III channels.

“At the close of the 19th day of bidding, 94 channels in 56 cities became provisional winning channels with cumulative provisional winning price of about ₹1,128 crore against their aggregate reserve price of about ₹459 crore,” a Ministry statement said.

Overall, the cumulative provisional winning price exceeded the total reserve price of the first batch by ₹577.92 crore. So far, 76 rounds of bidding have been completed. “The channel allocation stage will continue till the bids are received for any of the 135 channels,” the official statement added.
