Air India operates ‘All Women Crew’ flight

Capt. Roopa has ratings on Airbus A319, Airbus A320 and Airbus A321 type of aircraft and is an able check pilot.

To mark the International Women’s Day, Air India today operated an ‘All Women Crew' flight between Bangalore and Delhi.

Bangalore-based Capt V. Roopa in command along with Capt. Niranjana Ashok, the first officer as co-pilot, operated the Airbus A319 flight AI 804 to Delhi.

The flight took off at 6.15 a.m. from Bangalore to land in Delhi at 8.50 a.m.

Capt. Roopa has ratings on Airbus A319, Airbus A320 and Airbus A321 type of aircraft and is an able check pilot (who is authorised to give training while flying).

The flight also has all-women cabin crew with Rita Gurang as the cabin in-charge and Modanna D’Souza, Chandni Bhagat and Rajni as air hostesses to serve passengers and make in-flight announcements.

The same all-women crew will operate the return flight IA 506 leaving Delhi at 9.45 a.m. to land in Bangalore at 12.30 p.m.
