Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) has secured orders worth ₹2,323 crore from Mumbai-based Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL) and Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) from Kolkata.
The contracts involve the supply of base and depot spares for missile systems onboard Indian naval platforms.
“The spares will ensure operational continuity of onboard mission critical equipment.” the company said in an exchange filing.
The new mega deal comes after the Navratna public sector undertaking had recently secured orders totalling ₹537 crore for various systems, including communication equipment, advanced composite communication systems for ships, jammers, software, simulator upgrades, spares, and test rigs.
Earlier in May, BEL had also signed a contract with the Indian Army Air Defence to manufacture the Integrated Drone Detection and Interdiction System (IDDIS).
The Nifty50 constituent expects orders of at least ₹27000 crore in FY26, a significant rise from the ₹18,715 crore it secured in the previous fiscal. Moreover, the company has also stated that its full year order inflow could cross the ₹50000 crore mark if it could secure the Quick Reaction Surface To Air Missiles (QRSAM) orders this year.
In the quarter ended March 2025, BEL had recorded a consolidated PAT of ₹2127 crores, increasing 18.3 per cent on a year-on-year basis and 62.4 per cent from Q3FY25. The company posted a revenue from operations of ₹9149 crores in the same quarter.
BEL’s share prices closed at ₹393.70 on the BSE on Thursday, marking a 0.79 per cent increase over the previous day’s close. The stock also reached its 52 week high price of ₹394.60 on the same day.
