Both the houses of Parliament witnessed acrimonious scenes over the “missing files” of coal scam. The Opposition demanded an explanation from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the issue.

The Coal Minister, Sriprakash Jaiswal, said in Rajya Sabha that an inter-ministerial committee has been formed to “locate” the missing files.

He said the Ministry would leave no stones unturned in tracing and providing the documents sought by the CBI. He added the Ministry has already provided 15000 pages of files to the CBI.

The Opposition alleged that the Government is taking all efforts to deny a fair probe into the issue.
