The Karnataka Private Post-Graduate Colleges’ Association will conduct Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) for admissions into MBA and MCA courses on August 3.
Addressing presspersons in Mangalore on Monday, Anand Joseph, coordinator of the association, Bangalore, said that KMAT is mandatory for admissions into MBA/PGDM and MCA courses into over 169 member colleges across Karnataka. All students who missed the PGCET (post-graduate common entrance test) conducted by the Government can enroll for KMAT, he said.
In Karnataka, the colleges have around 24,000 MBA and 12,000 MCA seats. Nearly 10,000 students have taken the PGCET, he said.
KMAT will be the all-India level test for the unfilled seats in the colleges under the association.
He said that KMAT will be conducted in 14 centres across Karnataka. In Mangalore, KMAT will be conducted in two centres, he said.
