The State Government has announced the constitution of a committee comprising secretaries of departments and banking sector representatives to discuss and decide on issues relating to grant of educational loans.
Following are members: principal secretaries of finance, local self-government, higher education and secretary, cooperatives; and general manager cadre officers from Canara Bank, State Bank of Travancore, State Bank of India, Federal Bank and deputy general manager of Union Bank of India.
Convener of State-Level Bankers’ Committee will be authorised to convene meetings of the committee, an official spokesman said here.
