IIT-PAL designed to help students prepare for JEE(Advanced)

IIT – (Professor Assisted Learning) PAL designed to help the students in preparing for the JEE Advanced Exam will be made available along with hand-holding support through the SWAYAM portal. The decision was taken at the 52nd IIT council meet here on Monday. “The decision is taken to help the students who have to surrender to the coaching institutes for cracking the JEE (Advanced),” said Prakash Javadekar, Human Resource Development Minister.

He added, IIT-PAL programme now has over 600 lectures on four subjects Maths, Physics, Chemistry.

Meanwhile, another decision taken was that IITs would now mentor atleast five engineering colleges and five schools were they will upskill the teachers there and would also interact with the students. “ IITs have decided to increase the cooperation with National Laboratories working in various fields so that the real research programs can be taken up to improve the quality of research”, said Javadekar.

There will be no revision in tuition fee being charged from the undergraduate students in IITs. Also, Council did not consider any further changes in the JEE (Advanced) system.
