Mangalore varsity to host job fair

A job fair will be conducted in Mangalore University on January 22. Addressing presspersons here on Monday, Dinesh Kumar Alva, President of the Mangala Alumni Association (the old students’ association of the university), said the University Employment Information and Guidance Bureau and the Mangala Alumni Association (MAA) were jointly organising a job fair in the university campus on January 22.

He said 20 colleges and 15 companies would participate in the job fair. The participating colleges would look for teaching faculty at the job fair. Post-graduate students from various streams would participate in the fair.

He said the participating companies would focus on MBA, MCA and MSW students.

Alva said 400-500 students from various streams were likely to attend the job fair.

The job fair is organised to bring companies and organisations to the doorstep of the students so that the best talent can be absorbed immediately.

T.C. Shivashankara Murthy, Vice-Chancellor of Mangalore University, will inaugurate the job fair.
