The environment and energy conservation awards instituted by Wonderla for schools in Kerala were presented to the winners by State Minister for Public Works V. K. Ibrahim Kunju.
The first prize winner Uthinoor GHSS Kasaragode was awarded a cash prize of Rs 50,000.
Kaipuzha St George VHSS Kottayam and Kidanganoor GVHSS Pathanamthitta, shared the second position and were awarded Rs 25,000.
The cash prize of Rs 15,000 was awarded to Bemmanur GUPS Palakkad, Kechery Govt UP School, Ernakulam, and Vimala Public School, Idukki, who shared the third position.
The function was presided over by George Joseph, Wonderla chairman. Kochouseph Chittilappilly, founder and vice-chairman of Wonderla also spoke.
