An expert on agricultural marketing has stressed the need to practise agriculture as a group-led activity to attain success.

Inaugurating the ‘Nitte Agripreneurs Summit’, organised by the Nitte-based Justice KS Hegde Institute of Management at Nitte in Udupi district on Saturday, P Chandrashekar, Director General of the Jaipur-based National Institute of Agricultural Marketing (NIAM), said that agriculture should be treated as a group-led activity than led by an individual farmer.

K Sankaran, Director of the institute, called upon the youths to take up agriculture processing activity as a career. The technical sessions included agripreneurship as a career option and institutional support for agripreneurship.
