The Republic of Guatemala has opened an Honorary Consulate in Chennai in the presence of Ambassador of Guatemala to India, Giovanni Castillo. Chennai will be the second city to house Honorary Consulate of Guatemala after Mumbai. Vivek Partheeban, Chief Operating Officer of Caplin Point Laboratories, which has sizeable presence in Guatemala and Latin America, has been appointed Honorary Consul in Chennai, according to a statement.
