Days after she was involved in an accident in Rajasthan, actor and BJP MP Hema Malini today blamed the father of the girl, who was killed in the mishap, for not following traffic rules.

The actor, who received injuries in the mishap, said, “My heart goes out to the child who unnecessarily lost her life and the family members who have been injured in the accident.

“How I wish the girl’s father had followed traffic rules, then this accident could have been averted and the little one’s life saved,” she tweeted.

A four-year-old girl was killed while five others were injured including the actress when Hema’s car collided with another car on July 2 in Rajasthan’s Dausa district.

The 66-year-old actress had undergone surgery for her wounds in a hospital in Jaipur last week.

Soon after the mishap, the girl’s father had said that the child could have been saved had she been rushed to a hospital with the actress.

“My little girl died in the lap of her mother in car. It is sad that mother is also struggling for survival in polytrauma ward and she is not knowing that Sonam is no more,” Sonam’s father Hanuman Mahajan had said.
