It is results day for the political parties in four states and the Union Territory of Puducherry. While the TMC, AIADMK and BJP have plenty to cheer about with their performance in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Assam, the Congress has had a rough day. It has lost to the Left in Kerala and to the BJP in Assam. The Puducherry results are the only bright spot for the Congress this time.

The expressions of the party workers and leaders says it all in these pictures from across the country.
