The Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal Government will initiate yet another Cabinet reshuffle today.

Malay Ghatak, the party's Assansol unit head and former State Agriculture Minister, might be appointed as Labour Minister.

He was asked to tender his resignation following the party candidate's defeat to BJP's Babul Supriyo.

Incumbent Labour Minister, Purnendu Basu, will be the new Agriculture Minister.

This apart, two junior ministers are expected to be inducted and two others shunted out.

The last reshuffle saw Amit Mitra take up the additional responsibility of Information and Technology, in addition to his existing charges of Finance, Commerce and Industry.

Partha Chatterjee took over as the Education Minister, replacing Bratya Basu, who was shifted to the Tourism Ministry.
