In an effort to strengthen its retail presence in the South, Motorola India tolaunch ‘Moto Hubs’ in Karnataka, across 8 cities.

Moto Hub is a physical outlet and is a store-cum-experience centre for all Motorola devices. One of the reasons for this expansion is the growth that Motorola India is seeing in this part of the country.

According to GfK, Karnataka is the second biggest smartphone market by state in India with over 6 lakh smartphones sold every month, thus contributing 8 per cent of the total smartphones sold in India, said Sudhin Mathur, Managing Director, Motorola Mobility India . Bengaluru further contributes 50 per cent of the total smartphones sold in Karnataka and Motorola is amongst the top 5 brands in the city, Mathur added.

Motorola is on a store opening spree across other parts of the country too. Earlier this month, it announced the opening of 50 Moto Hubs in Mumbai and 25 Moto Hub stores in Kolkata. In January 2018, Motorola had announced the opening of 50 Moto Hubs in New Delhi. Motorola has also collaborated with Poorvika Mobiles across 43 cities in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karnataka and with Big C and Lot Mobile stores across 55 cities in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to provide retail access to consumers.

All Moto Hub stores house the entire portfolio of Motorola devices and motomods along with Motorola accessories like on-ear and in-ear headphones, moto shells and covers.
