Five students of the Manipal-based T.A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) got the international placements during this year, according to Chowdari Prasad, Dean (PR) and Chairman (Admissions) of the institute.

In a statement here on Monday, he said that this year Etihad Airways offered five international placements with the highest pay package of Rs 47.09 lakh per annum for the PGP (post-graduate programme) students of TAPMI.

Apart from this, management graduates of the institute were offered placements in sectors such as consulting, FMCG, insurance, information technology, e-commerce, telecom, media, confectionary, manufacturing, airways, banking and financial services, textile, BPO and logistics.

This year saw a significant increase in the number of firms vying to tap the talent on campus, he said.

According to Chowdari Prasad, TAPMI’s placement reports are audited by Crisil as per the Indian Placement Reporting Standards (IPRS). TAPMI is a founding member of IPRS.

He said the IPRS has been introduced by IIM-A to bring about greater transparency in B-school placements reporting across the country.
