Assembly polls: Bouquets & brickbats on social media

Social networks like Twitter were painted in political hues on Sunday. Polls 2013, Election results 2013, Raman Singh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Trust NaMo besides Rahul Gandhi and Sheila Dixit were trending in India.

Twitterdom was full of congratulatory tweets, quips and even brickbats for parties and politicians.

Biocon CMD Kiran Mazumdar Shaw wrote, “Congress has been shown the door for poor political leadership and unconvincing approach to corruption. A thumping endorsement for AAP.”

She added, “AAP's amazing debut marks a proud day for Indian democracy and people power - zero tolerance for non-performance n (and) poor governance.”

Actor Anupam Kher congratulated Aaam Aadmi Party and said , “ Congratulations to the Indian Voter for their belief in Change.”

Mohandas Pai wrote, “34 per cent of India is urban. UPA out of touch with urban voters, no agenda for urban. AAP is showing …urban anger.”
