YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has asserted that the heavy turnout in the elections in Seemandhra indicates a total sweep and the verdict would be decisive and one-sided in favour of YSRCP.

In a statement, he reiterated they would support any party at the Centre that would safe-guard the interests of the state.

When asked who will the party support at the Centre, he said: “It is not Modi, Tom, Dick or Harry. Our concern is only the development of the new state. We do not surrender to Delhi like what Chandrababu Naidu has done but will play a pivotal role in the formation of the government at the Centre and upkeep the Telugu pride.”

Development of the state is high on the agenda as the Congress has divided the state irrationally and the Bill was pushed through with intrigue with Congress, BJP and TDP being party to it.

The Bill is ambiguous and the people of Seemandhra have used their wisdom and voted in big numbers.

“I see a clear sweep from Srikakulam to Kuppam in favour of YSRCP,” he said.
