AIADMK and BJP members walk out of TN Assembly over TASMAC issue

Speaker denied when opposition leader Edapaddi K Palaniswami sought permission to raise issue of the alleged financial irregularities in the TASMAC dealings to the tune of ₹1,000 crore.

Both the AIADMK and BJP members on Friday walked out of the Tamil Nadu Assembly over the alleged financial irregularities in the TASMAC dealings to the tune of ₹1,000 crore.

There was commotion in the Assembly as Finance Minister Thangam Thennarasu raised to present the State Budget. AIADMK leader and Opposition Leader Edapaddi K Palaniswami sought permission from the Speaker to raise the issue of the alleged financial irregularities in the TASMAC dealings to the tune of ₹1,000 crore. However, the speaker declined to give permission.

The AIADMK members walked out of the Assembly as the FM continued to read the Budget speech.

The BJP members too walked out the Assembly over the same issue.
