Andhra Pradesh Government employees, who went on strike, will get two months salary advance for the strike period.

State Chief Minister, N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, has approved the salary advance to the AP Non-Gazetted Officers and all other Government employees as the strike exceeded two months.

Earlier, the Government had sanctioned one-month salary advance for the strike period of Telangana Non-Gazetted Officers as their strike period for a separate Telangana State had exceeded one month.

APNGOs were on strike for about 65 days in support of a united Andhra Pradesh, immediately after the Congress Working Committee announced its decision to bifurcate the State by creating a separate state of Telangana with 10 districts and Hyderabad as the joint capital for 10 years.
