The Centre of Indian Trade Union (CITU) on Sunday urged the Tamil Nadu Government to intervene and take steps to end the strike going on at Samsung Chennai facility.

“There was no end at sight on the strike by Samsung Chennai workers in protest against the suspension of three office bearers of the newly registered union - CITU backed Samsung India Thozilalargal Sangam. There was no sign of the management inviting us for talks to end the strike that started on Wednesday. The strike inside the factory premises is likely to continue on Sunday,” said a source in the Sangam.
