Corporation Bank eyes Rs 565 cr lending target for SMEs in Hyderabad zone

Corporation Bank wants to reach a target of lending up to Rs 565 crore by end of March to small and medium enterprises in the Hyderabad zone.

The bank is active in financing the SME sector and at present has disbursed Rs 528 crore. The zone, which covers the entire Telangana region, has 69 branches and 48 ATMs, said the Deputy General Manager D. Purnachandra Rao.

Talking to newspersons on the eve of the 108th foundation day on Tuesday, he said the bank was planning to open more branches. The total business transaction in the zone was Rs 7,656 crore and it was keen on achieving a target of Rs 9,155 crore by the end of this month.

To mark the foundation day, wellness camps will be organised at various parts in the twin cities in association with Apollo Clinics.

Rao said the bank is offering a bumper car loan at the rate of 10.40 per cent interest rate without any processing charges and has also introduced several new schemes.

The bank has also undertaken sponsorship of education of 108 students of Vivekananda Public School, Banjara Hills.
