Expert panel to review swine flu situation in Hyderabad

The Centre is rushing a three member team today evening to assess the situation in Hyderabad arising out of the spread of swine flue.

The Union Health Ministry has deputed Ashok Kumar, Additional Director General of Health, Shashi Khare, Additional Director of National Centre for Disease Control and Pradeep Khasnobis, Programme Officer for Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme.

“The team will be landing in Hyderabad late in the evening (today). It will then assess the situation, requirement of drugs, masks and other medical supplies, review the situation in the hospitals and lab facilities,” the Union Minister of State for Labour Bandaru Dattatraya, told media persons here.

The Minister earlier had a telephonic talk with the Union Health Minister, who has assured of all required assistance from the Centre to contain the situation.
