The Madras High Court has directed the Central Bureau of Investigation to investigate and get material on a complaint on the ₹570 crore seized by the Election Commission in Tirupur during the recently concluded Assembly Elections in Tamil Nadu.
Justice R Subbiah passed the order on a petition filed by DMK MP and spokesperson TKS Elangovan.
The Judge asked CBI to get materials on the complaint. If they find material on the investigation, they need to register a complaint and proceed in accordance with the law as soon as possible.
