Jagan case: CBI names Minister, IAS officers in charge-sheets

Andhra Pradesh Major Industries Minister J. Geetha Reddy and a host of top IAS officers have been named by the Central Bureau of Investigation in fresh charge-sheets it filed on Tuesday in the illegal assets case of YSR Congress Party Chief Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy. The two separate charge-sheets were filed on real estate and infrastructure company Indu Group and Lepakshi Knowledge Hub, Anantapur. While 14 were named as accused in the former, 10 were mentioned in the latter. Apart from Geetha Reddy, former ministers Sabitha Indra Reddy, Dharmana Prasada Rao, senior bureaucrats B. Sambob, Samuel, K. Ratna Prabha (now a Karnataka cadre IAS officer), B.P. Acharya (a suspended IAS officer in the Emaar Properties case) were named. The others mentioned as accused included Jaganmohan Reddy (first accused), his auditor Vijaysai Reddy, Indu Group Chairman Shyamprasad Reddy, Indu Techzone, NPR Projects and Jagathi Publications, among others. As per the charge-sheet, the Indu Group had allegedly diverted Rs 70 crore to companies floated by Jaganmohan Reddy and received 8,848 acres of land in Lepakshi Knowledge Hub, by the State Government headed by the then chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. Indu Techzone was given 250 acres of land in Shamshabad near here, it said. — Our Bureau
