As passengers’ ire over the ‘neglect’ of Kerala in the railway budget pour in, the All Kerala Railway Passengers’ Association State committee met on Wednesday.

It said the Sabari rail project, the Kanchikode coach factory, the Alappuzha wagon factory, track doubling, automatic signalling systems and other projects which had been promised for a long time, were ignored.

A separate zone for Kerala, demanded for years, had also been ignored. The Youth Congress-S took out a march on Wednesay to the Ernakulam Junction station protesting against the ‘total neglect’ of Kerala.
