‘Korean Caravan’ meet in city

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea is working to establish direct flights between Korea and Bengaluru.

Addressing ‘Korea Caravan 2015’ in Karnataka, Cho Hyun, South Korea’s Ambassador to India, said he was holding talks with Korean air companies to start direct flight operations between Korea and Bengaluru.

“The direct flights to this technology city will facilitate more investments in Karnataka from Korea,” he added.

Korean Caravan
The Korean Caravan meet was organised to enhance understanding between Korea and Indian States, for interactions and to explore areas of cooperation, he said.

More than 20 Korean companies, including Samsung and Hyundai, participated in the plenary session of the meet.

The Ambassador also announced that Korea would be a partner country at ‘Invest Karnataka 2016’ meet.

Hyun said there are plenty of opportunities for Koreans to do business in Karnataka and added that Korea has no limits and is open for partnership and collaboration in many sectors.

Karnataka Minister for Large and Medium Scale Industries and Tourism RV Deshpande highlighted the opportunities in auto manufacturing, electronic system design and manufacturing and IT available for Korean companies to invest in Karnataka.
