Released on bail from Cherlapally jail late on Wednesday, the Telangana TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy has landed in fresh trouble with the Cyberabad police booking cases against him and several other TDP leaders, including an MP and MLAS.

As he was released on Wednesday, hundreds of his supporters and TDP leaders gathered outside the jail to receive him and thereafter took a long procession celebrating by burning crackers and making speeches on busy roads. During the procession, it became noisy as they blocked traffic causing hardship to general public.

The local Kushaiguda and Malkajgiri police, from whose jurisdiction the procession passed by, booked cases under relevant sections for taking out procession without permission, using intemperate language against the Telangana leaders including the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and other political leaders.

Reddy, who is the main accused in the cash-for-vote scam, was booked by the cops along with TDP MP Malla Reddy and several other leaders.

Meanwhile, the State is in the process of moving the Supreme Court against the grant of bail to Reddy and two others on the grounds that the investigation was still underway.
