Telangana’s concerns on GST will be ‘taken up with FinMin’

Union Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs (Independent Charge) & Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has assured that concerns of Telangana on GST will be taken up with the Finance Ministry.

Speaking at an awareness meeting on GST held here , the minister said the State had concerns with regard to the beedi, textile and granite industries.

It took almost 17 years for the implemention of GST. The NDA government held series of meetings with State governments and different institutions in the last three years for implementing GST, Naqvi said.

Bandaru Dattatreya, Union Minister of State (I/C) for Labour and Employment, said with the rollout of GST, 17 types of taxes were abolished and an integrated tax system has been ushered in.
