TNAU inks agreement with Tokyo varsity for collaborative research

The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has inked a memorandum of understanding with the University of Tokyo, Japan, for academic and research linkages.

TNAU, which already has a long-standing collaboration with the UT in many fields including molecular biology and social sciences in now broadening the areas of collaboration to facilitate the Farm Varsity students enrolment in various academic programmes of UT and vice-versa.

TNAU Vice-Chancellor, K. Ramasamy, said that the varsity has inked two MoUs with the UT of which one would be a student exchange programme and the other for faculty exchange and collaborative research.

The MoUs were signed by the TNAU Vice Chancellor and Dr Hiromichi Nagasawa, Dean, Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences and Dr Yasuo Fukuyo, Director, Asian Natural Environmental Science Center, UT.

The Japanese team was in India for inking the agreement.
