Two dead, many injured in commotion at Rajaji Hall

Two people who went to pay their last respects to the mortal remains of DMK leader M Karunanidhi reportedly succumbed to injuries in the melee that ensued after heavy crowd congregated at Rajaji Hall in Chennai on Wednesday noon.

According to police, the deceased have been identified as Shenbagam (60) of MGR Nagar and an unidentified male. Seven others who were injured were taken to Rajiv Gandhi Government General hospital and have been admitted to ward 201 around 11.15 am.
