2 persons test positive for COVID-19 in Pune

Two persons in Pune have been tested positive for coronavirus infection. They have been quarantined at the Naidu hospital. One person has mild symptoms of the infection and the other has still not reported any symptoms, Pune’s Divisional Commissioner, Deepak Mahiskar, said in a media statement on Tuesday.

Mahiskar said both the patients had travelled in a group of 40 persons to Dubai in the last week on February and had returned to the city on March 1. One of the persons had consulted his doctors on March 8 and after pathology tests was tested positive.

All the persons who had come in contact with the two patients are being traced and body fluid samples of three relatives of the patients have been sent to the laboratories for analysis, he said in the statement.
