Godrej Properties in talks to develop Sanjay Khan’s Bangalore assets

Godrej Properties Ltd is in talks with film star Sanjay Khan to develop a few properties in Bangalore.

“Talks are in preliminary stage, hopefully we will be able to launch the projects by mid next year,” said Sanjay Khan.

Sanjay Khan’s company, Esskay Properties, owns a few parcels of land on Tumkur Road in Bangalore.

“The company is planning to launch a few more projects in Bangalore,” said Pirojsha Godrej, managing director and CEO, Godrej Properties.

Declining to confirm the development on Sanjay Khan’s properties, he said, “In Bangalore, we have four ongoing projects.”

Sanjay Khan had built a high-end resort, Golden Palms Hotel and Spa, in Bangalore, which he recently sold to a New Delhi-based company for a consideration of around Rs 300 crore.

Currently, Godrej Properties has two projects on Bellary road, one near Electronics City and today’s launch of a villa project on Tumkur road.

Godrej Properties Ltd launched a villa project in partnership with late Feroz Khan Family representing Fardeen khan and Laila Khan in Bangalore.

The project, Godrej Gold County located on Tumkur road, is spread over 12 acres, this projects will comprise 87 villas built over saleable area of 2.8 lakh sq ft.

“It is a revenue-sharing project. We are investing Rs 100 crore and Feroz Khan’s family is offering the land,” said Pirojsha Godrej.

“Godrej Properties gets 63 per cent of the revenue generated in the project,” he added.

The company has already sold 10 per cent of the plots during the pre-launch marketing and has villas ranging in size from 3,300 square feet to 4,100 square feet.
