A section of duped investors of the Saradha Group on Friday blocked the rail movement along the Garia-Sealdah line.

The investors were protesting against the fact some of the cheques issued to them as compensation by the State Government-formed Justice Shyamal Sen Commission had been dishonored.

A section of duped investors are also said to have blocked rail movement at the Howrah station.

The Saradha Group, which mobilised deposits to the tune of over Rs 2,000 crore through various money deposit and ponzi schemes, went bust in April last year. Group Chairman Sudipta Sen was arrested by the State police later that month.
