The increasing application of aerospace technologies in developing products of day-to-day use will be the focus of a two-day seminar beginning here tomorrow.
Already, global developments in aerospace technologies have paved the way for establishing modern aerospace vehicles incorporating some of the most advanced technologies.
The offset products that have large commercial use in day-to-day applications include the evolution of aerodynamics, which has contributed in a big way to the design of passenger cars. Microwave technology developed for radar applications had its offset in the development of the microwave oven.
The seminar being organised by the Institute of Engineers, Andhra Pradesh State Chapter, will be inaugurated by K Jayaraman, Director, DRDL.
Representatives from industry, academia, R&D institutions, and members of the Institution of Engineers will take part in the meeting.
