Australian win toss, elect to bat against India

Australian skipper Michael Clarke won the toss and elected to bat in the second cricket Test against India here today.

India have retained the side that won the opening Test by eight wickets in Chennai.

For Australia, all-rounder Glenn Maxwell will make his debut, replacing medium-pacer Mitchell Starc. Xavier Doherty has taken the place of Nathan Lyon as the side’s specialist spinner.

The teams: India: M S Dhoni (captain & wicket keeper), Virender Sehwag, Murali Vijay, Cheteshwar Pujara, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin, Harbhajan Singh, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishant Sharma.
