Spain’s Rafael Nadal remained top in the men’s tennis rankings issued on Monday by the ATP, while Frenchman Richard Gasquet boosted his chances of making the season-ender in London.

Nadal tops the bill with 11,520 points from Serbia’s Novak Djokovic (11,120) and Spain’s David Ferrer (6,800).

The three are already qualified for next month’s London finale of the eight best players of the year along with Andy Murray and Juan Martin del Potro.

With Murray injured, the cut will be the ninth best player of the year, and Gasquet moved within 15 points of ninth-ranked countryman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga Monday after winning the Moscow tournament Sunday.

Also in contention for the remaining berths are former number one Roger Federer, fellow-Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka and Czech Tomas Berdych.
