Are you one of the parents flummoxed by your school going child's behaviour? Worried when to say yes or no to some demand? Where do you draw the line?

Then Parent Circle may be the answer, say the publishers of the monthly magazine that was born today.

Addressing a launch function in which doyens of industry and academic institutions participated, Ms Nalina Ramalakshmi, Director, Shri Harini Media Pvt Ltd and Publisher of

Parent Circle , recalled her own predicament in dealing with the problems of settling down in Chennai with her family after two decades in the US.

So was born the idea of Parent Circle , inspired by a parenting magazine she had seen back in the US. The magazine's objective is to help parents deal with ‘parenting issues' and enable all round development of the child, she said. Over 15,000 copies of the magazine have been printed and an online version will also soon be available. Priced at Rs 25 a copy, it will soon be available on the newsstands and bookshops, Ms Ramalakshmi said.

Harini Media is an associate of the Ramco Group, which has diversified interests in cement, information technology and spinning. The magazine hopes to bring together parents, experts, educators, provide information on local resources and development of children.
