Tracking Deals. IFC invests $5.5 million in Eye-Q

IFC, a member of the World Bank group, has invested $5.5 million in eye hospital chain Eye-Q Vision. The company will use the money to expand to non-metro cities in India. This equity investment is part of a $10-million round raised by Eye-Q. Nexus Venture Partners and Helion Venture Partners also invested in this round.

Qyk raises angel funding

Qyk, a mobile marketplace for finding local services, has raised angel funding from a group of angel investors, including early investors of Ola, Housing and Delhivery. The investors include Zishaan Hayath, co-founder of Toppr and Powai Lake Ventures, Abhishek Goyal, CEO and co-founder of Tracxn.com, and Sahil Barua, CEO and co-founder, Delhivery. Qyk seeks to serve as a one-stop platform for availing of a range of local services.

Collatebox gets ₹1 crore

Collatebox, a cloud-based product that helps collect, share and act on growing date, has raised more than ₹1 crore as angel funding from a group of investors and Teninnovate, a Hyderabad-based technology incubator. It has raised the money through LetsVenture, a platform that enables start-ups to raise angel and seed funds. The money will be used to take the product to global markets.

wWhere receives ₹1.2 crore

wWhere, an Ahmedabad-based location start-up, has raised ₹1.2 crore from angel investors. Incubated at the Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship, wWhere has got the money from angel investors from the US, India and Singapore.
