Thanks to extremely wet weather, Assam has always grappled with the problem of flooding that rapidly erodes roads before their time. But now an eco- friendly technology is helping fix the problem. The camera captures members of the Public Works (Road) Department using the cold recycling technique to restore this rural road, which was constructed through Asian Development Bank funding, at Niz Pokawa village, Nalbari district. “ What is unique is that the technology can be used in the monsoon months as well,” says Hari, as he prepares the ground for the road-roller to take over.
