The much anticipated Sanjay Dutt biopic- Sanju, has set the cash registers ringing, as it has emerged as the biggest opener of the year. The much anticipated Sanjay Dutt-biopic starring Ranbir Kapoor earned Rs 34.75 crore on the first day of release at the Indian box office.

Trade analyst Komal Nahta tweeted, “ Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju takes a gigantic opening on a non-holiday Day 1, of Rs. 34.75 cr which is the biggest opening of 2018 & the 2nd highest non-holiday opening of all times, after Bahubali 2 .”
The movie has been co-produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra Films, Rajkumar Hirani Films in association with Fox Star Studios. Directed by Raj Kumar Hirani, the movie was released across 4000 screens in India on Friday. The movie has also been released in over 1300 screens in more than 65 countries.
