Prakash Iyer, a man of many talents, decided to become an entrepreneur after 30 years in the corporate world

Prakash Iyer, best-selling author of three books, a leadership coach for CEOs and a professional speaker, is a talented man. He was, until recently, the Managing Director of Kimberly-Clark Lever, before he decided to become a full-time entrepreneur.

He started his career at Hindustan Unilever and spent the next 30 years in the corporate world before he had a calling to pursue his real passions. One might think it takes a lot of courage to make such a switch but Prakash says it's not about courage. "It might sound trite but it's not about guts but about what you really want. You suddenly realise you have enough of what you want and this gives you the freedom to pursue other things. The idea that I can make a little more money or travel in the front of the plane didn't excite me. They were nice but I'd reached a stage in life, where from a need perspective, I was taken care of, so there was no fear in me," he says.
